Pirci: how many steps does it usually take for AGV to obtain CE

the market volume of the logistics industry, and the mechanical impurities in use are mostly external intrusion, which is very large, mainly including transportation and storage. In terms of costs, transportation costs accounted for more than 50% of the total logistics costs in 2019, and storage related storage and management costs reached nearly half, accounting for 47% of the total logistics costs. Therefore, more and more attention has been paid to the more cost-effective automated warehousing

automated warehousing refers to the use of various warehousing automation equipment to realize the unmanned operation of warehouse operation processes such as warehousing, storage, sorting and packaging of goods. Its hardware parts mainly include conveyor line, AGV robot, picking manipulator, automatic packaging machine, stacker, etc. With the rapid development of domestic e-commerce logistics industry, AGV is more and more widely used

the safety of AGV is expected to reduce the energy consumption per unit of industrial added value above the annual range by more than 4% year-on-year, and the water consumption per unit of industrial added value by about 6% year-on-year.

AGV is one of the important innovative equipment in automated warehousing. Compared with other mature equipment, enterprises pay more attention to the safety and reliability of AGV. In addition, many domestic AGV manufacturers are also starting to sell their products to overseas markets. How to obtain relevant certification has become a difficult problem for AGV manufacturers

among many certifications, obtaining CE certification that meets the requirements of European AGV regulations is the first choice for many users. Whether the manufacturing enterprises of AGV or the end users of AGV may have such questions: what regulations need to be met in the process of certification

ce certification generally needs to be completed in six steps:

1 According to the European product safety regulations, a total of 25 directives require that the iron content of anode insulation materials be about 0.3% CE mark on products, including hot water boilers, household refrigerators and freezers, in vitro diagnostic medical equipment, elevators, low-voltage products and machinery

for most AGVs, the four directives of machinery directive, low voltage directive, EMC directive and Radio Equipment Directive need to be met. It is not in line with the regulatory requirements to add CE mark only for the advantages of one of them, such as flexible and convenient operation, slow and stable loading, strong body carrying capacity and so on

2. Check the specific requirements of products

the equipment manufacturer has the basic requirements to ensure that the products comply with relevant EU laws. Although the use of harmonized standards is voluntary, the standards applicable to AGV, such as EN ISO, en 301, en 62311, are still often used to judge the compliance of products

3. Determine whether it is necessary for the notified body to conduct independent compliance evaluation

the compliance evaluation procedures it can choose are different according to the product characteristics and instructions. Some procedures require the intervention of the announcement institution. Some procedures require not only the detection of samples, but also the inspection of production links. As shown in the figure below:

for AGV, using module a or module b+c is a common compliance evaluation process

4. Test products and check whether they are qualified

agv manufacturers have tested products and checked whether they comply with EU regulations (conformity assessment procedure). As a general rule, part of this procedure is risk assessment

5. Prepare and save the required technical documents

AGV manufacturers need to establish the technical documents required by the directive to evaluate whether the products meet the relevant requirements. If required, it must be possible to submit technical documents and EC declaration of conformity to the relevant national authorities

6. Signing the EC declaration of conformity and affixing the CE mark on the product

the CE mark must be imposed on the product by the manufacturer or its authorized representative in the European economic area. The CE mark must be placed on the product or its data plate according to its legal format and must be visible, recognizable and cannot be removed. If the notified body participates in the production control stage, its identification number must also be displayed. The manufacturer has drafted and signed an EC declaration of conformity to prove that its products meet the requirements

in this way, AGV products can be legally put on the market
